squam by the sea…

***********
when elizabeth first asked me about the possibility of teaching at squam by the sea, it was an instant YES. having spent my many a summer waiting tables there in my 20s, the outer banks is one of my most favorite spots on earth.
it is hard to put in words how i much i love it (and i am, of course, bias) but you are just going to have to trust me on this one.
not to mention you know everything elizabeth touches is magic, and sarah, michelle, and jen will be teaching too!
i REALLY hope to see some of you there.
if this is something some of you are seriously thinking about, here are some details you should know:
(in elizabeths words…)
1.) its going to a very small, intimate group.
2. all registrations must be postmarked on or AFTER february 1st. they won’t
process registrations that come in earlier. this is to give people time and
breathing space. there’s a lot involved to make plans, choose classes, etc
and we don’t want people to feel rushed. we want them to feel good and
solid about their decisions.
for class descriptions go here.
and for those of you who are interested but shy….
i am a squam virgin too so we can navigate through this together!
i am getting really excited about this already……
creative assignment #14:
take a small step out of your comfort zone today.
(i just did)

Gosh, I would so love to do this, but after a year of movement in 2009, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it. It would have been so wonderful to meet you, too! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you do it again, and at the same place, because that is one stunning looking venue! The only thing I could hear in my head when looking at the photos was “oh my!”

I first learned about SAW last year, or maybe the year before, on Maya*Made. I know going to one of those is unlikely, but I decided to check out the site again when Maya posted about it recently. I was happy to see a camp that was a realistic travel reach for me, but thrilled when I saw you were teaching there! I won’t be able to do it this year, but if things finally change for us I’ll be able to go next year – it’s already agreed upon and I’ll hold him to it HAHA!

I am absolutely thrilled that I will meet you at Squam by the Sea. I lurk her every now and then and think you are pure magic. So, hooray!
