while hanging out with beautiful stef last
week i got the chance to spend some time with
her little girls as well.

each morning at around 6:30am,
i would open my eyes to see this little face
staring intently at me saying:
“hey mccabe are you up? are you ready to have
an art party?????”

i totally get a kick out of the ridiculous
which usually walks hand and hand with kids.

seeing what funky get up my 7 year old will be wearing to school for the day! love her sense of self and style….brings me joy right through to the core!!

my simple joy is how creative my daughter is with everything she does… she surprises me daily with her creative side!

My petite 50lb German Shepherd.

pretty much anything i see through my viewfinder. when i put my camera up to my face, it is usually because i have spotted a little morsel of joy. i could totally get fat on joy when i’m out with ye olde canon. oh. and music. all day. every day.

Some of the silly things my boston terrier, Boss, does! Makes me smile even now. One moment that never fails to make my heart flutter is in the morning when he wants to snuggle….sweet little big earred furbaby!

Also, the sound of my first born nephew saying my name or just lighting up when he sees me.

The second born nephew as he wraps him self around me trustingly and rests his read on my shoulder….pure love and joy

My crazy little kitty, Lucy Poo. Especially when she comes to lay on my chest at 5:30 in the morning thinking I can’t see her sweetness because it’s dark:)

And my hubby making me laugh about something every day. He’s a bit of a goofball.

my husband’s spontaneous dancing!

oh! these photos are so great, thank you for sharing them! As you know these girls bring me joy on a regular basis. Thank you for SEEING them; it’s such a pleasure for them to be around such magic as you are. xoxoxo love you truly!

one thing that brings me much joy is the quite drive over the bridge with the sun is still coming up and thanking the universe for all it’s beauty and for what it’s teaching me.

Pandora perfectly soundtracking my day. Losing myself in an especially good book or when that urge to soak ink into paper takes hold and I lose time. All of the above can be accessorized with a really good glass of red.

Hummmm… Sweet tea, thumb print art, paper mermaids, my iPod, warm socks, bubbles, puppy kisses, fireplace smores, God light, giggles, “thinking of you” text messages and textures.

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
