thank you for bringing color into my life, even if you rolled in all my tissue paper and people got cat hair along with their gifts.

thank you for fresh strawberries at my doorstep, and more mixed cds than i can count.

thank you for putting your children in my camps and ignoring my crazy outfits and giving me a bottle of wine after a long week.

thank you for coming to this space to read about my random life.

thank you for taking the time to leave kind comments.

thank you for coming here and being quiet.

thank you continuing to be my friend even though i have been the flakiest girl on the planet this past year.

thank you for telling me that my underwear was tucked into the back of my skirt before i walked across the restaurant.

thank you for cracking me the f up even on the most dreadful of days.

thank you for singing on my voicemail.

thank you for sending me care packages and lovely cards and secret treats.

thank you for believing in me before anyone else did, including myself.

thank you for coming over that first time even though you were so timid and shy….and thank you for staying when i needed you most, and leaving when i was in a better place.

thank you for checking in on me, just because.

thank you for remembering my favorite wine and salad.

thank you for telling me the truth.

thank you for staying to make sure i was ok even though i told you to leave because i don’t like to be around others when i am sad.

thank you for offering me a safe place to stay and putting white roses in my room and buying me organic chocolate when i was cranky.

thank you for asking how i am, and then listening carefully when i tell you.
