different and also the same

the most common comment i get on this blog is:
“you put into words what i feel inside…”
or something to that effect.
i love it when people say that.
i have been noticing this more often lately,
and i am thinking that no matter who you are or where
you have been or what you have done,
we all have this basic need to feel connected
and not alone in our journey.
and maybe we are all more alike than we want to admit.
and maybe that is a good thing.

I think one of the most powerful emotions that bond us is grief. It sounds a bit depressing to start with but when you think about how loss really attunes you to yourself and how your own pain allows you to recognise and hopefully empathise with other people going through their losses, it kinda rings true. It doesn’t have to be the loss of a life, it could be any loss. I think grief is an amazing teacher. God, is that maudlin of me…lol

Your observations are so AWESOMELY positive and as you once said to me… we are all interconnected and intertwined! Cheers.. we are of one mind.
