get that job

go on that retreat
win that lottery ticket

who wants to fuck
with this kind of purity
so close to the source
beautifully flawed and innocent

you are this little girl too
we all still have this spirit in us
wanting to be inspired, loved,
and understood

these beams of iridescent light
mini sparklers of girls

they are you
they are me
they are us

to be ever so kind
and gentle when these
girls need protecting
and nurturing
