For several years, I volunteered as a Spiritual Care counselor at our local hospital. I worked alongside the chaplains, visiting patients and providing them with whatever they might need, spiritually. It was a non-sectarian position, but even non-religious individuals enjoyed the spiritual connections that were made. When the girls got home from school, I told them all about it and what it was for. They proceeded to run around the house and collect a pretty substantial pile of drawings.
