i hope you all are having a fun day. i have already eaten about 10 mini kit kats and feel sick. (i even waited until today to get treats and i still broke into them early) the rest of the day i have dedicated to painting/carving pumpkins. i am not so great with a knife…so if any of you have any cool craft ideas please let me know or leave a link here!

i am also attempting to make delilah (aka cranky cat) a mermaid costume. it is going to be more of a seashell type skirt (no tail) and she is not going to like it. basically i will make her wear it, give her some chicken and gravy for torturing her, and then take her picture chowing down. if i have time i am also going to make ellie the dog a matching mermaid tutu. because i am 34 now and this is how i like to spend my free time.

my neighbors and i are going to make our little beach village magical too! photos will post tomorrow. oh and i want to see your costumes. (and pet costumes!)

this post, my mermaid friend, is what i love most about you. you make me smile when i’m tired and weary. you sprinkle magic when i’m most in need.

I would commit crimes to spend my afternoon with pumpkins, tutus and cranky cats. You are fabulous.

Hope you had a fantastic Halloween – it was truly an amazing night here in my small town in the south bay…By the way, I too broke into our candy stash minutes before the first trick-or-treaters arrived and scarfed down several Butterfingers…tummy ache and all it was a great night! So much enthusiasm and joy in my little one – she truly enjoyed giving more than receiving. ~ M.
