looking for happy

hi peeps*
today i have a request from you:
i am in search of some new, happy tunes.
for some reason i have found myself
in a little funk this week-
nothing big or life threatening.
just not feeling fully myself.
i love to work and listen to my ipod-
my mood totally transforms.
i can groove to anything from
a little snoop to some rem,
and am pretty open to anything.
so if inspired,
please share your favorite tunes
that get you out of a rotton mood
and into a dance routine in your living room.
it would be much appreciated.
thanks in advance, and happy friday!
:)

These aren’t new, but old standbys that always get me feeling better: Bob Marley’s “Legend”–how can you feel bad when listening to “Baby don’t worry, ’bout a thing, ’cause every little thing’s gonna be alright…” I also love the Gipsy Kings’ “Mosaic.” The passion in that gets me every time.

‘Elevation’ by U2 always gets me moving, so does ‘Nowhere with you’ by Joel Plaskett Emergency

hello there,
when i feel a bit this way, i usually go for a mix of things like shakira’s la tortura, brad paisley’s ticks, and francoiz breut’s km83 and andy will take us on a drive. country isn’t a lot of people’s cup of tea, but brad’s lyrics make me laugh, shakira’s just fun, and francoiz sings some of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard… enjoy your weekend :~)

Do I hear you’re in need of some “magic”?? How about a little Practical Magic - the soundtrack works wonders, does it every time for me - not just one song, the whole CD!! And when I’m having a really bad day, the movie is a must. Sounds like you’ve gotten some good replies so…………rock on my mermaid friend!

first off, that dancing walrus is priceless!
secondly, i have been listening to a lot of old 80’s music, specifically bands like Spandeau Ballet, Bananarama and Duran Duran. Must be all these late nights, but it makes me happy because the songs are just so light and fun, which is what a girl needs sometimes.

but check out some of what they have…the new album stone by stone ( how appropriate for you as a miracle rock painter ) there is a lot of uplifting stuff on there too. they are an indie band from Eugene Oregon and are friends of mine.
Much love, light and dancing.

from the new weepies album:
“all this beauty”.
i don’t know how anyone listening to that song could help but be-bopping to it, nor how they could be sad after listening.
peace.
