hi friends! sorry for the prolonged absence. i appreciate all of your comments and emails regarding my last blog entry. this blogging community brings such a sense of joy to my life. i love you guys!

i was tagged by the darling pixiedust a few weeks ago to post “5 things i want to be when i grow up.” so fun! i have many, many dreams…these are just a few off the top of my head. i love this topic of dreams. without dreams, there is no magic. and without magic, well, what is there?

anyway, here goes….

1.) i dream of spending all my days writing and getting paid for it. i am not sure in what form this would be, but the thought of my words in a hardcover book makes my insides all fluttery and awake. a collage-like book of poems, paintings, photographs, etc. is very appealing….although these days i am thinking of a novel. i also have a kids book i wrote years ago that i would love to publish. no, i will publish! it is something very close to my heart. truthfully, i just love to write, whether i get paid for it or not. it would be amazing to reach a huge span of people through a book though.

2.) i dream of having a baby. i have wanted to be a mother my whole life. in a way, i kind of already feel like a mother, since i work with kids….but the dream of having one of my own never fades. it is thrilling to me that i finally found a wonderful partner to have one with. i wonder to myself, what will our kids will be like? will they have justins long lashes and pretty features…will they have my passion for all things creative? i also dream of adopting an older child. whatever happens, i believe my child is my child, however fate wishes to connect us.

3.) i can’t believe i am going to write this-but i have actually dreamed about being an E! correspondent. (oh dear, did i lose any readers?) i love pop culture. i love the cheesiness, the clothes, the drama. i think it would be so fun to wear a fancy dress and chat up a bunch of movie stars. (i just told justin this as i wrote it and he asked, “are you good in front of a crowd?” uh, no, i am NOT good in front of a crowd. i never planned on an audience. i was thinking more just me and george clooney talking, like, by ourselves. maybe this is a dream i should not have elaborated on…)

4.) to have a sailboat and live on it. with justin. and my cat. HEAVEN. and of course, sail around the world on it…

5.) this one is probably my biggest dream: to be at peace with myself. to look in the mirror and see ME, without criticism, just love. i like to think i get a little closer to this dream every day.

i can totally relate to the writing one and yes to be at peace with myself, everyday i too get closer to that one and it feels good

Hee. I also tagged you. You will be such a rockin, fun, awesome mama. And private interviews with George Clooney, now that is a very nice dream. Truthfully though all your dreams rock, and I love that you are always getting closer to being at peace with your self.

unlurking to say i love your photo and your list! especially #3 (my guilty pleasure is celebrity gossip) and #5. it’s on my own list that i did this week, in the number 1 spot. i love your blog.

I’m with everyone else on this outfit…seriously cute…REALLY cute!

But, on to the dreams…all wonderful and all full of soul. And, I completely agree, where would we be without those dreams and the magic? I have two affirmation words that I hold on to dearly…dreams and believe. And in a case such as this list, they are both so perfect.

I am still working on my own list of “five things that I want to be when I grow up;” it is thought provoking to be sure.
